The PE-10 Rod Pushing module is engineered to replace service lines by following existing lines or installing new service lines through fresh ground. After completing a rod push run, a pullback device can be attached to pull a new line back through. Its easily accessible rod locking mechanism enables quick and efficient rod insertion and removal. With multiple piercing head designs, the PE-10 offers versatility to tackle a variety of installation situations.
The Rod Pushing Process:
When equipped with the standard Pushing Head, the PE-10 can push through virgin ground with no existing pipes and pull back a new service line after the push is completed. For projects where existing service lines, such as galvanized pipes, are already in place, the PE-10 can use the current line as a guide. By attaching our Bladed Pilot Head, the PE-10 follows the existing path, efficiently pushing out the old line while simultaneously pulling in the new one. For projects that require real-time tracking during a rod push, an optional sonde housing can be attached behind the pushing head, providing accurate progress monitoring.
