Open Pathway gripper system

The PE-10 Pipe Bursting Module is designed for the replacement of service lines under 3″ by breaking apart the existing pipe, pulling a new service line in its place. It offers cable pull lengths of up to 150′ and a pull-back speed of up to 13′ per minute, depending on soil conditions.

The Pipe Bursting Process:

• Pipe bursting using the Chassis Mount Pipe Splitter on the PE-10 prevents small service lines from breaking into sections and interfering with the gripper module during operation.
• In situations where the chassis pipe splitter cannot be used, the PE-10’s open-pathway gripper system allows for easy removal of the cable from the grippers, making it simple to address any broken piping sections that disrupt the pulling function.
• When using the PE-10 in small pit spaces, the Vertical Cable Guide automatically routes the bursting cable vertically out of a trench or pit, increasing efficiency for a small crew or one-man operation.
• For pipes under 2″, our 4-blade pre-splitter assists in splitting the pipe in front of the bursting head. The pre-splitter is designed to be re-sharpened multiple times, ensuring longevity and reducing accessory replacement costs.
